Betknowmore is announcing that Philip Kolvin is standing down as Chair of the organisation

Philip Kolvin says:

Betknowmore does hugely important work not only in serving victims of gambling harms but in drawing attention to their needs, and the reasons for their needs. Working with Betknowmore and its outstanding staff team and volunteers has been one of the privileges of my life as we have all worked to move rapidly from being a local to a national organisation. That job done, I strongly believe that in its next phase Betknowmore should be led by someone from the lived experience community itself, or with frontline experience of working with the community. I want to pay particular tribute to Frankie and all of the Betknowmore team who have done a simply huge amount to forge a voice and a service for this community. I wish them, my board colleagues and all involved with Betknowmore future success, which I will watch with admiration and pride.

Frankie Graham says:

Betknowmore wishes to thank Philip for all he has done for the organisation.  As Chair, he provided leadership with drive and integrity.  He set high standards for our governance, which will stand us in good stead as we extend our work as a national Charity.  The core mission and service of the Charity will continue to be driven by the voice of lived experience and we will continue to learn from and understand the challenges individuals and communities face due to gambling harms. The Board will shortly be reorganised with a new Chair and Co-Chair to continue our mission and service as a national Charity.
