Volunteering opportunities

Volunteers provide a hugely important part of our service. Their work includes supporting community events, workshops and, where appropriate, providing peer to peer support to Betknowmore UK clients. We try to ensure the volunteer role has real value, to the volunteer, to Betknowmore UK and to the people Betknowmore supports.

Student placement opportunities

We also provide student placements and participate in various student programmes, such as the UCL Global Citizenship and Statistical Network programmes. We receive requests for research placements with regards to the gambling sector and are happy to fulfil them when we can. Volunteering with Betknowmore UK helped me with my recovery. Being part of a team felt good! I enjoyed helping others, building new friendships, and giving back rather than thinking about myself.
