Triage and Assessments Coordinator

Betknowmore UK is looking for a Triage and Assessments Coordinator to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed & person-centred assessments, making sure every service user is onboarded safely and quickly.

About us

Betknowmore UK is a leading provider of gambling support and training services. Our mission is to deliver services that prevent and address personal and societal harms related to gambling, and to challenge the inequalities that shape people’s experiences, opportunities and outcomes. Lived experience sits at our core, from our Founder to our support team to our Management Board. Our prevention and support services are commissioned by NHS England, OHID and Public Health Scotland.

The role

As Triage and Assessments Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for people coming into our support services. You will deliver high-quality, trauma-informed and person-centred assessments, making sure every service user is onboarded safely and quickly. Reporting to the Triage Team Manager, you will work closely with the Triage team, our wider support services and external referral partners.

What you’ll do

  • Carry out initial contact and comprehensive assessments, online and by phone
  • Develop safety plans and risk assessments in line with our model of care
  • Manage referrals on our database and waiting list
  • Provide Brief and Extended Brief Interventions where appropriate
  • Signpost and refer service users to further support when needed
  • Report and log safeguarding concerns, and bring wellbeing concerns to our weekly MDT
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records and support reporting to funders and partners
  • Build strong relationships with referral partners and help improve how triage works

‍

What we’re looking for

  • Experience delivering person-centred assessments
  • Experience conducting fluid risk assessments and handling complex safeguarding incidents
  • Experience working with diverse groups, including vulnerable or at-risk individuals
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, and of recovery-based or strengths-based approaches
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and Airtable or a similar CRM
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and trauma-informed practice
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays

How to apply: Download the job pack below, then send an up-to-date CV and a cover letter detailing how your experience meets the Person Specification to recruitment@betknowmoreuk.org by Thursday 29 October 2026.

We welcome applications from people with lived experience of gambling harm, and from all backgrounds. This post is subject to a DBS check. If you need any adjustments to apply, please let us know.
