ICE Responsible Gaming Discussion

Organisation CEO Frankie Graham to discuss experience of working with operators on safer gambling strategies

Responsible gambling training and support organisation Betknowmore will be sharing its experience of advising and consulting with gambling operators in the UK and beyond at the ICE Totally Gaming event at ExCeL Centre London next week.

Founder and CEO, Frankie Graham, will be talking on the panel of the session Interaction v Invention, on Wednesday 5th February, 10.30-11.30 at the Consumer Protection Zone located in the exhibition.

The topics discussed will include; Creating a guideline for online and land-based interaction, featuring a focus on responsible interfaces with players and customers and how operators should interact with VIPs. Graham will share the stage with; Foli Ekue, ManagingDirector, Playright Dr. Sarah Hodge, Lecturer in Psychology, BournemouthUniversity and Moderator David Clifton, Director, Clifton Davies Consultancy.

Betknowmore is a social enterprise providing sector leading training and consultancy to key stakeholder groups and sectors (as well as direct support to safer gambling), with its key offering (delivered in partnership with YGAM) accredited by City and Guilds and endorsed by global training and publishing giant Pearson.

The organisation has delivered its interactive responsible gambling sessions, uniquely delivered by ‘lived experience’ trainers, who have themselves experienced the challenges of being a problem gambler, to organisations such as William Hill, Playtech and companies of the Kindredgroup.

At the event Betknowmore aims to increase its exposure as it grows it’s offering across the UK and Europe, and is seeking to generate funding to deliver more RET (Research, Education and Training) to empower those suffering from gambling harms reaching and supporting vulnerable individuals and communities.

CEO Frankie Graham said:

“With the increased focus on the press, especially in the UK at the moment, on the techniques and customer methods of gaming and gambling operators, ICE is the perfect platform for us to show what we have learned already about training organisations to empower their staff to make improved decisions around reducing the risk of encouraging problem gamblers and thus improving the actions and reputations or the sector as well as protecting bettors.

We are, somewhat uniquely a voice within the industry, a critical friend, but one that is able also to see things from the side of the problem gamblers we support.”

ICE visitors can meet Betknowmore at stand N1-CP9 in the Consumer Protection Zone ICE.
